Druidale repairs to start on Monday

by isleofman.com 24th January 2009
The Druidale Road will be closed, between Brandywell Cottage and the cattle grid next to Druidale Farm, for the first part of the coming week.

Work will begin on Monday to repair a section of the route, which has been washed away under the surface.

The Department of Transport expects the repairs to take three or four days to complete, and the road should be open again, along its full length, by Friday at the latest.

The government department was told about the damage on Thursday evening and the area around the damaged section was made safe.

Druidale Farm is about halfway along the scenic route, near where the stream runs under the road.
