Download proposal - HMV not worried

There’s been more reaction to the Island’s plan to offer unlimited free music downloads to broadband subscribers.

Earlier this week, Tim Craine and Ron Berry of the Island’s e-business division revealed they were negotiating with record labels to offer the service for a couple of pounds a month.

But what would this mean for local music shops?

Head of HMV's PR department Genarro Castaldo told Jason Roberts he wasn’t worried (extended audio file attached):
