Gawne is confident pier will be saved

The chairman of the government's Queen's Pier working group is confident the structure will eventually be refurbished, after Tynwald voted unanimously to explore two of the options it put forward.

A newly formed steering group headed by the chief minister will now carry out a detailed examination, and report back in November.
