No need to 'sign on'

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2009
Anyone who signs on for benefits won't need to next week, because of ongoing problems at Markwell House following Tuesday night's flooding.

The DHSS says payments will continue to be made, based on historical data, and adjustments will be made later if necessary.

The department is reminding social security customers they can ring 685656 or 685026 for advice although, in the circumstances, it hopes calls will be kept to a minimum.

Information on the recent water damage and the effect of services at Markwell House can be seen at gov.im/dhss/flooding.xml
