Brewer signs deal with Imperial Tobacco

Local brewer Heron and Brearley is to branch out into wholesaling tobacco products.

It follows concerns that some newsagents are running out of supplies.

The Brewery says it was approached by Imperial Tobacco last week, with a proposal which has been accepted.

Heron and Brearley already has its own outlets, as it owns CI Newsagents.

Joint Managing Director Grant Paterson says the offer from Imperial Tobacco means a new venture for H and B:
