Digital TV is getting closer

The countdown to digital TV is now well and truly on, with the switchover less than six months away.

'D-Day' is on June 18 and officials from Digital UK are urging local residents not to leave it too late to buy equipment.

Again, it's being stressed that most people won't need to buy a new television, as most models can be adapted for the new system using a 'digital box'.

Digital UK spokesperson Sarah Jane Gray says the whole process is quite straightforward:
