Police have named the man whose body was found on a beach in the west of the Island on Saturday morning.

Ralph Wyn Roberts from Kirk Michael is believed to have been aged 50.

His body was discovered by a member of the public on the beach near Glen Mooar, at about 9.40am.

Mr Roberts’ immediate family has been informed.

Police say no one else is being sought in connection with the death and have reassured the public not to worry.
