Brain tumour expert to speak to students

A local charity hopes a cancer expert will inspire young people from the Isle of Man to consider a career in finding cures for the disease.

The Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association has invited Professor Geoffrey Pilkington to talk to pupils from King William's College and St Ninian's High School this morning.

He's a leading brain tumour research specialist from Portsmouth University.

Professor Pilkington is worried that not enough students are considering a career in medical research.

Association President Carole Cowin says it's an important visit for the Island (play attached audio file):
