Awards ceremony for tourist industry

Tourism in the Isle of Man will be celebrated at the end of the month.

The 2008 awards ceremony will take place in the Broadway Cinema at the Villa Marina on January 30, when the guest speaker will be Professor Hugh Davidson.

Prizes will be handed out in a number of categories including best town/village, best night out, area of most scenic natural beauty, attraction of the year and best customer service.

Department officials will also present a special award for ‘Significant contribution to Tourism’.
