St John's have taken firm control in the CFS Division Two promotion race and all but ended Pulrose’s hopes.

A 1-0 win at Groves Road, courtesy of an Anthony Moore penalty, sealed the points for St John’s to leave them and Castletown clear in the top two positions.

Marown consolidated third spot with a 5-1 win at the Police, thanks to goals from Gavin Brew, Paul Dunn, Paul Bratty, Jeremy Lovett and Ricky Lovett.

Nick Firth notched the Police consolation.

Ramsey Youth Centre’s fine season continued as they overcame a half-time deficit to put five past Douglas Royal.

Doubles from regular marksmen Mark Grotty and Martin Murphy, and one from Harry Power, secured a 5-3 win – all this after Royal led 2-0 at the break.

Among their scorers were Ross McWhinney and Stuart Foley.

Northern Athletic threatened to cause a surprise before going down 4-2 at home to Braddan.

Mark Cain and Jamie Skillen had fired Northern into a 2-1 interval lead but goals from Shane Larkin, Mike Shimmin, Mike Hegarty and Jamie Johnson ensured Braddan emerged victorious.

Malew edged the southern derby to leave Ronaldsway bottom.

Daniel Thirwell, Paul Whitley, Darryl Yardley were the scorers in a 3-2 win.

Dwayne Dawson netted both for the Rockets but Malew took the points.

Foxdale and Onchan shared four goals at Billy Goat Park with a Phil Cain penalty and Neil Cain on target for Onchan.
