Inspector unveils policing plan

Police in the west of the Island have published their plans for the coming year.

The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team has selected several areas of focus following its "Cupper with a Copper" mornings.

The team hopes to place a police officer in every neighbourhood, and promote safer driving through villages in 2009.

Inspector Mark Britton says he and his colleagues will also continue working with primary schools (play attached audio file):
