Air passenger figures hold up well

The director of Isle of Man Airport is surprised and delighted by the passenger figures for 2008.

A total of 763,200 people passed through Ronaldsway last year, just 0.16% fewer than in 2007.

Anne Reynolds says it's great news considering the loss of Euromanx, an airline which accounted for a third of the total passenger traffic.

She says the feared downturn in numbers at the end of the year didn't materialise either (play attached audio file):
