Misadventure verdict on Douglas man

by isleofman.com 7th January 2009
A verdict of misadventure has been recorded on a 43 year-old man whose body was found at a bail hostel last year.

David Karran was discovered at David Gray House in Douglas on June 8, 2008.

The inquest into his death was opened at the end of July and heard he had died from a drug overdose.

A toxicologist's report said its findings were consistent with opitate abuse in a known heroin user.

The inquest had been adjourned to allow for further police enquiries.

In court this morning (Wednesday), Coroner Michael Moyle said no blame for the death could be placed on David Gray House.
