Rutland and George rise to Frostbite Challenge

by isleofman.com 7th January 2009
Sunday's shoot saw the 1st Annual Frostbite Challenge which was conducted in the glorious Manx sunshine.

But with the temperatures a little on the cold side everyone was wrapped up like the Michelin Man.

The competition was a very close in the Recurve discipline with four points separating first to third.

It was an end-to-end battle between the top three with Anne Rutland pulling it out in the last end to take the title.

The Compound honours went to Allan George, who seemed to warm up quicker than the others and built up a nice lead after the first dozen that he didn’t lose.

The next competition returns to the cold indoors of Onchan Community Centre with a scratch Worcester.

It's on Sunday 11th, 10am for the morning shoot and 1:30pm for the afternoon shoot.
