Coldest December for over a decade

Last month was the coldest December in the Isle of Man since 1996.

Figures from the Meteorological Office at Ronaldsway Airport show the average daytime temperature was 6.1 degrees Celsius.

The coldest day was New Year's Eve, when the mercury rose to a maximum of three degrees, and the mildest day was the 21st when the average temperature was 12.4 Celsius.
