Prison lookout for volunteers!

An organisation which plays an important role in the smooth running of the prison is looking for volunteers.

The Independent Monitoring Board makes sure prisoners' rights are being upheld in accordance with the custody rules in terms of their treatment, accomodation and standard of care.

Members of the Board regularly tour the prison in Jurby to listen to inmates' requests and concerns.
