Motorists seem to be getting the message

Police in the Isle of Man say the number of arrests for drink driving this festive season is down on the same period last year.

So far, ten people have been taken in for questioning on suspicion of committing the offence, compared to a total of 30 for the whole of the campaign a year ago.

Officers are continuing to try and get the anti-drink drive message across and say people need to act responsibly.

Inspector Richard Power from the Road Policing Unit says it should be common sense (play attached audio file):
