Colin Jerry tribute

Tribute is being paid to a well known figure in Manx culture who died recently.

Colin Jerry passed away unexpectedly, in his early 70s, a week ago.

He was a teacher, musician and Manx speaker, and won the Reih Bleeaney Vanannan trophy, for services to Manx culture, in 1991.

Mr Jerry was originally from England and taught at Peel Clothworkers' School after moving to the Island.

Friend and fellow folk musician John Kaneen says Colin and his band entertained people all over the Island:
