Manx Fell League starts on New Year's Day

by isleofman.com 23rd December 2008
The opening round of the 2009 Rentokil Manx Fell League takes place on New Year's Day.

The Supercards-sponsored St John's Fell Race will be held over the traditional three mile course that climbs to the summit of Slieau Whallian and back with the start and finish at St John's Football Club.

Start time is 2pm with registration from 1pm until 1.45pm.

Minimum age for entry is 14.

This classic race is one of the highlights of the athletics season and usually enjoys one of the biggest entries for a local event.

Organisers say the course is testing but not overly-difficult and is ideal for anyone who has not tried a fell race before.
