MHK's fears for government services

An MHK doesn't know how the Manx government is going to maintain the level of its services, in the face of falling income.

Michael member David Cannan says he has real worries, particularly in relation to health, social services and education.

Mr Cannan says this year's estimated surplus of ?33 million has already been trimmed by ?10 million, by the reduction in VAT.

And he predicts there will be a big deficit next year (play attached audio file):
