Funeral of Vince Karalius

The funeral of legendary rugby league player Vince Karalius takes place today.

Mr Karalius, who played for St Helen's, Widnes and England, died on December 13 at the age of 76.

He started his professional career with St Helen's in 1951 and was known as one of the toughest forwards in the game, earning the nickname "Wild Bull"

He retired to the Isle of Man where he helped train local youngsters

A requiem mass at St Columba's Roman Catholic Church at 1pm will be followed by a private cremation.

Mr Karalius is survived by his wife Barbara.
