Witness appeal after promenade accident

Investigations are continuing into an accident on Douglas Promenade at the weekend in which a young boy was injured.

The child, who was a pedestrian, was hurt in an incident close to the Hilton Hotel at around 3.30pm on Saturday.

His injuries are said to be serious but non-life threatening.

The accident led to the road being closed for over an hour and also involved was a black Vauxhall Corsa car.

Witnesses are still being sought, and anybody who can help is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.
