Flying start for recycling scheme

Recycling officials in the Isle of Man say the kerbside collection scheme in Douglas, Braddan and Onchan has got off to a great start.

It was introduced last month and is a partnership between the Department of Local Government and the Environment and the three main local authorities in the east of the Island.

The amount of material collected has been high, although exact figures won't be known until the new year.

Recycling Manager for DoLGE Stephanie Gray (pictured) says there has also been some good feedback:
