Payments are 'too little, too late' - depositor

The news that payments of ?1,000 are to be made to some depositors with Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Isle of Man isn't being welcomed by all of them.

Tynwald agreed in principle this week to release ?11 million from the Manx Government's reserves, but the money probably won't be sent out until the end of next month.

Richard Carter, who has a considerable sum in the bank, says it's too little, too late for some.

He says he is able to get by for now, but others aren't so fortunate:
