Green light for sports pitches

Tynwald has approved funding for the construction of new sports pitches on the outskirts of Douglas.

A sum of ?1.9 million will be spent on the facilities at Ballafletcher in Braddan, and they will be used by Corinthians, Douglas Royal and Vagabonds.

Vice president of Vagabonds Allan Thompson says there will be a number of pitches (play attached audio file):
