Langness 'sting in the tail' predicted

A compromise to end the dispute over footpaths at Langness will be on the table during this week’s Tynwald sitting, but a number of politicians are expected to express their displeasure with the delegation which has hammered it out.

The row saw local residents go up against TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, after he closed footpaths crossing his land.

Liberal Vannin leader Peter Karran is one Tynwald member with several questions on the matter, for answer by Michael MHK David Cannan, the chairman of the delegation.

Mr Karran claims the proposed deal could have a sting in its tale for local people:
