Falcons book semi-final place

by isleofman.com 23rd November 2008
Kirsty Hunt fired Falcons into the semi-final of the Mixed Cup on Saturday.

That was all that separated them from Valkyrs A in the tie of the round and a result which leaves Falcons as cup favourites.

Meanwhile, the three-way battle for the Mixed Premier Division title remains on a knife edge.

That’s after reigning champions Bacchas A defeated their B side 7-1, thanks to
Gareth Craig and Karl Moore doubles, plus one each from Niamh Goddard, Jamie Cox and Cat Bridson.

It was revenge for the A side after their shock cup defeat to the B side a fortnight ago.

Andy Whiting got their consolation.

Finally, congratulations to Kestrels who were crowned Mixed Division Three champions after nearest rivals Southerners went down 2-1 to Bacchas E.
