"Go spotty for Dotty" tomorrow

The Mayor of Douglas says there is life after being diagnosed with cancer.

Dot Pitts found out she had bowel cancer about 18 months ago and is currently undergoing treatment.

She says her first instinct was to give up her public work, but with support from her colleagues she has continued in her role as mayor and says it has given her a focus.

Tomorrow is Bowel Cancer Awareness Day and, to raise awareness and funds, Mrs Pitts (pictured) is urging companies to "Go spotty for Dotty."

She would like as many people as possible to go to work wearing something spotty and give some money to the cause:
