Island's value to USA to be explained

One of the Manx Government's New Year resolutions is to prove to the world the Isle of Man is a responsible jurisdiction.

In the face of criticism from the United Kingdom and a potential threat from the new administration in the United States, Chief Minister Tony Brown (pictured) has confirmed efforts will focus on enhancing the Island's reputation.

He expects a delegation to visit Washington early next year to explain the Isle of Man's value to the USA.

Mr Brown, who faced a raft of questions on the subject in Tynwald yesterday, says the Island has a good message to sell, although he recognises it won't always be easy to get it across:
