Success for KWC

King William's College is celebrating this weekend after winning the inaugural award in a UK national league table.

The school has been named International Baccalaureate (IB) School of the Year in the latest 'Sunday Times Parent Power' guide.

The award was introduced to recognise the success of schools which offer the IB as an alternative to A-levels.

This year's success lifts the college more than 90 places in the Sunday Times league of secondary schools from 313th in 2007 to equal 221st this year.

Principal Dr Sarah Welch (pictured) says she's delighted the college has been recognised for its hard work and success (audio file attached):
