Defending champions Douglas Royal continued their domination of the Sure Mobile Womens' League yesterday as they demolished Laxey 13-1 to make it five wins out of five.

Donna Shimmin led the way with a hat-trick, there were braces for Sarah Breen, Orna Lynch and Vicky Worthington while Rebecca Cole, Karen Faragher, Kym Hicklin and Kerry Williams also got on the scoresheet.

Kerry Lockwood scored for the Miners.

Rushen United hammered Castletown 7-0 at the Stadium, leapfrogging their southern rivals into second place in the process.

Dawn Georgeson grabbed a hat-trick, Hannah Biggerstaff hit two and Eleanor Gawne and Siobhan Lockwood completed the scoring.

There was also a western derby, Peel thrashing bottom-of-the-table Michael United 9-0 away.

There were trebles for Claudia Konig and Alcivane McGregor and goals from Ali Caroon, Bernadette Dunn and Vanessa Roberts.

There were also goals galore for Gymns, who stuck eight past Ramsey without reply.

Dawn Quinn hit a hat-trick, Kim Carney grabbed two while Angela Guest, Emily Winterton and Elaine Wiseman scored one each.

And Corinthians cemented their place in mid-table after beating Colby 7-1 at Glen Road, although the Noble's Park outfit do have a couple of games in hand on the teams above the them.

In keeping with all of yesterday's games there was a hat-trick, for Jade Burden in this instance, and goals from Lauren Christian, Stephanie Hall, Sarah Kerford, and Sarah O'Reilly.
