Vote for the doodle - on Google!

by isleofman.com 29th September 2008
A Ballakermeen High School pupil has the chance to have a piece of his artwork displayed on the homepage of the Internet search engine Google.

If that happens, Nathan Spellman's 'Google doodle' - a themed representation of the company's name - could be seen by up to 18 million people.

He has already won the North-West regional competition for the seven to 11 age group, but is now relying on a public vote, which closes today (Sunday).

Nathan's father, John, hopes people will support his Manx themed effort (audio file attached):

Nathan's design includes a Manx cat and flag, Laxey Wheel, a TT racer and Castle Rushen.

Supporters of his entry can log on to google.co.uk/doodle4google to cast their votes.

The winning doodle in his age group will be displayed on the Google homepage on October 1.
