Island TV coverage will suffer

Coverage of the Island's news on ITV is likely to be significantly reduced after it was confirmed the Border and Tyne Tees regions will merge.

Border's news programme - LookAround - is to be cut in half to only 15 minutes.

It's feared Manx news will struggle to fit in the changes, leaving only the BBC covering the Isle of Man news on TV.

Bernard Moffatt from the Celtic League suggests what some of the affects could be (audio file attached):
