Stagger your journey and avoid the jams

by isleofman.com 27th August 2008
Workers in Douglas are being urged to stagger their journeys home this evening because of the delayed Manx Grand Prix races.

Crossing points around the Mountain Course will open from St Ninians at around four o' clock this afternoon and will remain so until twenty to five.

The second race is due to get under way at five o' clock.

Following the end of that race roads are due to reopen, again from St Ninians, from about ten past six and it's hoped Glencrutchery Road will reopen at about half past six.

The police recommend you either leave work early to get through between races, or stay later, rather than sit in traffic.
