Capital without water!

by isleofman.com 5th August 2008
Douglas is reportedly without water this evening, due to a problem with the main in Bucks Road.

A recorded message on the Water Authority's emergency line says the whole of the capital is affected.

Customers are being told engineers are working on the problem and normal pressure should be returned by 9pm.

The authority says taps should be run until supplies are clear.

Bucks Road is currently being resurfaced, although there is no suggestion of a connection between the work and the disruption to supplies in the authority's emergency message.
