More legal aid

Tynwald says more people will get better access to justice under new legal aid rules.

The court approved new regulations which will make civil legal aid available to more people based on means testing.

As well as that, the pay rates for advocates undertaking legal aid work has been significantly increased.

And changes have also been made to try to resolve cases at an earlier stage.
