DoT signs warning

by isleofman.com 21st July 2008
The Department of Transport is reminding people not to hang banners at a busy Douglas roundabout without permission.

The DoT says it doesn’t allow signs or banners on any of its street furniture because it can obstruct visibility and distract drivers.

But charities can advertise their events at the Quarterbridge roundabout (pictured) as long as they ask the department first.

In its monthly newsletter, the Department says it monitors the space regularly and will remove any unauthorised signs.
