Racing abadoned at soggy Billown

by isleofman.com 9th July 2008
After an hours delay, organisers were left with no alternative but to abandon Wednesday night's four races at the Southern 100 meeting.

Heavy rain made the Billown circuit too dangerous.

Race Secretary George Peach says safety is always the number one priority:-

There are a further nine races scheduled for Thursday. Roads close at 10 o'clock until 12.30pm and between 1.15pm until no later than 5.15pm.

The highlights will be the Solo and Sidecar Championship races in the afternoon session.

There is full coverage of Thursday's action from Billown on our AM 1368 frequency from ten o'clock.
