Former MLC lashes out

by isleofman.com 9th July 2008
A former member of the Legislative Council is calling on the Health Minister to consider his position

Ramsey Commissioner Leonard Singer says there have been two public relations disasters in as many months which have rocked public confidence,

Mr Singer refers to the decision to withdraw plans to fluoridate the Island's water supply and the U-turn over long stay admissions in three government residential homes.

Mr Singer says more care is needed when it comes to considering people's health needs and Mr Teare may not be the man for the job:

Health Minister Eddie Teare has declined to react directly to Mr Singer's comments.
