It's one of the busiest road intersections on the Island and an accident blackpsot.
But the junction at Quarterbridge is set to be transformed, with a large, new oval roundabout, drawings of which will go on public display later this week.
The current layout, with two mini-roundabouts, was constructed in 1986, but the Department of Transport says it can no longer accomodate today's much higher volume of traffic.
At peak times there is congestion and delay on most approaches, and there are frequent minor accidents.
The DoT wants to create a conventional large roundabout, in a scheme which will mean the demolition of the Quarterbridge pub, a new road bridge over the river and the realignment of approach roads.
But the existing TT racing line would be retained.
Drawings of the plans will go on display in the main foyer at the Sea Terminal on Thursday, from 3 to 7pm, and on Saturday, from 10 am until 12 noon
Officers will be on hand to answer questions, and comments from the public are welcome.
