DoT man faces manslaughter charge

A Department of Transport manual worker charged with manslaughter, in connection with an incident during the preparations for last year's TT, will appear in court today.

Sixty-one year-old Brian Tomlinson, of Glen Vine is accused of manslaughter by gross negligence.

The charge relates to the death of visiting biker Alan Ronald Osborne, from Rochester in Kent.

He died when his motorcycle was involved in a head-on crash near roadworks at the Veranda on May 14 last year.
