Rain threat for Parish Walkers

by isleofman.com 20th June 2008
Bad weather could play a major role in tomorrow's Clerical Medical Parish Walk.

The forecast suggests rain moving in by late morning, with the potential for some heavy bursts during the afternoon and evening. The soggy conditions will be accompanied by strong easterly winds.

The support of the Manx people for all competitors has been quoted by many as one of the major reasons for taking part.

First time finisher from last year Jane Crowe says that community spirit plays an enormous role:-

The Clerical Medical Parish Walk starts at eight o'clock tomorrow morning at the National Sports Centre.

The last signing-on session for the event takes place this evening at the Manx Harriers Clubhouse at the N.S.C. between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
