Charity organisations will be shown a way to gain major recognition for their volunteers at an event in Douglas later this morning.
An instructional session is being held at the Strathallen Suite, at the northern end of the promenade, to explain how nominations are submitted for a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.
The award was introduced in 2002 to mark the Queen's golden jubilee, and since then there has been a winner from the Isle of Man every year.
