'Chernobyl Children' coming soon

Eighteen children from Belarus are preparing for their summer holiday in the Isle of Man.

It will be a fun-filled break which will also help prolong their lives, as the youngsters have grown up in a region still affected by radiation from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986.

The annual visits are organised by the Friends of Chernobyl's Children which is thanking the Manx people and local businesses for their fantastic support.

The group's Norman Rivers says the children, who stay with local families, get real benefits form coming here (audio file attached):
