Arson attacks in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 17th June 2008
Police in Ramsey are looking for an arsonist after two attempts were made to set fire to houses in the town last night.

A piece of paper kitchen towel and a take-away food carton were pushed through the letter boxes and in both cases the person responsible tried to ignite them.

Police say there was no damage, but the consequences of such malicious fires cannot be understated and they are treating the incidents seriously.

The arsonist struck in Water Street and the road known as Summerland.

Anybody who has any information is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
