Union highlights safety issues

There's a growing demand for legal protection from men and women who work on public roads in the Isle of Man.

The union Unite has already highlighted the issue on behalf of its members in the DoT .

They're worried about their own safety - and the repurcussions if they're involved in an accident involving a member of the public.

Unite's Regional Industrial Organiser Mick Hewer (pictured) says all those who work in potentially dangerous situation have a real cause for concern:
