Karran wants booze ban

An MHK is welcoming plans in Scotland to ban the sale of alcoholic drinks to under 21s at supermarkets and off-licences.

Onchan member Peter Karran is due to raise the issue, which he describes as a 'social cancer', in Tynwald tomorrow.

His comments come as Scottish ministers aim to get a tighter grip on the problems associated with binge-drinking:
