Minister to run for children's charity

by isleofman.com 10th June 2008

The Health Minister is lending his legs to the Isle of Man's oldest charity.

Eddie Teare will run part of the coastal path to raise money for the Children's Centre this Saturday.

'Race the Sun' will see ten people running a leg, starting at 4.45 and hopefully finishing before the sun goes down at the end of the day.

Children's Centre Chief Executive John Knight will be taking part, and says some sections will be longer than others.

But he clearly doesn't envy Mr Teare's part in the challenge (audio file attached):

John Knight was speaking to Dan Davies on Talking Heads.
