Supersport winner disqualified

There was a sensational development in the TT this afternoon, when Bruce Anstey was stripped of his victory in today's Supersport race.

The exhaust on his Relentless Suzuki by TAS machine was found to be in breach of regulations, and the New Zealander was excluded from the event.

Steve Plater took over the winner's place, John McGuinness was promoted to second and Keith Amor was confirmed in third position.

Clerk of the Course Eddie Nelson explained the technicality at a news conference (audio file attached):
