Broadband speed to quadruple

Manx Telecom is upgrading its entire telecoms network, and one of the tangible benefits over the summer is that broadband customers will see their download speeds quadrupled!

The current standard 2 megabit ADSL service will go up to a whopping 8 megabits - with the whole island being upgraded between now and September.

Unlike many other countries, almost all the Isle of Man has the option of broadband connectivity - even rural areas remote from main exchanges.

MT's Product Manager Graham Shimmin says that's NOT happened just by chance :
